Description

  • Develop and validate research plans and hypotheses with product owners and stakeholders.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research, including interviews, surveys, card sorting, tree testing, and usability testing.
  • Schedule and facilitate user interviews and usability studies.
  • Analyze research findings and translate actionable insights into product features with designers.
  • Communicate research insights to stakeholders and contribute to knowledge about CMS users and services.
  • Investigate provider and customer problems to reduce ambiguity and clarify needs.
  • Define success metrics and evaluate product performance after release.
  • Communicate and demonstrate user issues to guide teams toward feasible, viable, and usable solutions.
  • Collaborate as part of an agile, cross-functional software development team.
  • Translate complex policy documents into technical requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of experience in service design, UX research, or human-centered design.
  • Experience conducting research with technical audiences and translating findings into product requirements.
  • Case study portfolio demonstrating successful product design and UX research work; an accessible PDF is acceptable.
  • Previous civic technology experience preferred.
  • Experience with Confluence and Jira preferred.
  • CMS experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Figma preferred.
  • US citizenship or a Green Card; Bellese does not provide sponsorship.
  • At least 3 years of continuous US residency and eligibility to obtain Public Trust clearance, including a federal background investigation.
