Description

  • Design, build, and maintain complex distributed backend systems with focus on low latency, fault tolerance, scalability, and self-healing behavior.
  • Develop and maintain APIs, databases, and libraries required by projects.
  • Apply custom algorithm design and engineering to solve specialized problems where needed.
  • Take ownership of problems and guide solutions from design through delivery to achieve intended impact.
  • Manage workload independently, make technical decisions, and deliver work without constant guidance.
  • Collaborate with clients, project teams, and company colleagues on multi-year and one-off projects.
  • Participate in selecting suitable projects and shaping your path within the company.
  • Contribute to company policies and decision-making through Sociocracy 3.0 and co-creation processes.
  • Track and report time using the company’s time-management tool as part of flexible working arrangements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of programming experience, including at least 1 year working with Python.
  • Proven ability to solve complex problems and produce functional, efficient, well-designed code.
  • Experience or interest in building low-latency, fault-tolerant, and highly scalable distributed systems, APIs, databases, libraries, or custom algorithms.
  • Demonstrated responsibility and ownership of technical deliverables and outcomes.
  • Ability to work independently, manage workload, and make decisions without constant supervision.
  • Fluency in English (required).
  • Willingness to work remotely from Poland (role is remote but limited to candidates within Poland).
  • Availability to work approximately 30–40 hours per week with flexible scheduling and time tracking.
  • Comfort participating in company governance and collaborative decision-making (Sociocracy 3.0) is a plus.
