Description

  • Build and ship features for the JetBrains extension end to end, from problem definition through production release.
  • Design solutions using AI coding agents and implement critical parts manually when needed.
  • Own a product area, including performance, usage metrics, and iterative improvement.
  • Work directly with users to gather feedback and improve shipped functionality.
  • Make independent technical and product decisions in a high-autonomy environment.
  • Collaborate asynchronously with a distributed team and contribute to rapid release cycles.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
  • Experience building JetBrains plugins, either commercially or as a side project.
  • Experience working with AI coding agents or AI-assisted development workflows.
  • Solid understanding of end-to-end product development, including design, implementation, deployment, and iteration.
  • Ability to make independent technical decisions and operate with high ownership.
  • Very good command of English at C1 level or higher.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, distributed team environment is preferred.
  • Background in open-source or developer tooling is a plus.
