Description

  • Own full-cycle recruiting for senior, staff, and director-level engineers, principal product managers, and emerging AI/Builder profiles.
  • Partner with engineering directors and product leaders as a strategic thought partner on hiring decisions and search calibration.
  • Build and maintain hiring intelligence tools such as finals trackers, pipeline health dashboards, and funnel analysis.
  • Present hiring trends, pipeline health, and recommendations to Engineering Leadership with clear data-driven rationale.
  • Drive offer strategy for hard-to-close candidates, including above-band requests, counter-offers, and role upleveling.
  • Design and run calibration and capability programs such as peer screen reviews, calibration sessions, and recruiter coaching.
  • Manage external agency partners using performance metrics such as submittal quality, pass-through rates, and hire outcomes.
  • Influence hiring standards and processes across Engineering and Product, not just execute searches.
  • Mentor other recruiters and create processes or frameworks that improve team performance over time.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience without heavy support from dedicated sourcing or coordination.
  • Strong technical fluency to assess engineering impact and differentiate elite technologists from strong subject matter experts.
  • Experience handling complex offer negotiations, including above-band justifications, counter-offer re-engagements, and role upleveling.
  • Hiring manager-level judgment with the confidence to push back on miscalibrated searches and make decisions in ambiguity.
  • Experience mentoring recruiters and building tools, coaching programs, or process improvements that scale beyond your own work.
  • Curiosity about the market, engineering excellence, candidate motivations, and culture fit.
  • Comfort using AI tools in daily work and a genuine interest in evolving AI workflows.
  • Experience working in or recruiting for senior technical roles, including engineering leadership and principal PM positions (preferred).
