Description

  • Own full-cycle recruiting for senior, staff, and director-level engineers, principal product managers, and emerging AI/Builder roles.
  • Partner directly with engineering directors and product leaders as a strategic thought partner on hiring decisions and search calibration.
  • Build and maintain hiring intelligence tools such as finals trackers, pipeline health dashboards, and funnel analysis reports.
  • Present hiring trends, pipeline health, and forward-looking recommendations to Engineering Leadership.
  • Drive offer strategy for difficult-to-close candidates, including above-band requests, counter-offer re-engagements, and role level changes.
  • Design and run recruiter capability programs such as peer screen reviews, calibration sessions, and coaching programs.
  • Manage external agency partners using performance data and quality metrics.
  • Shape hiring standards and process for Engineering and Product leadership rather than only executing searches.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience.
  • Experience recruiting without dedicated sourcing support or a coordinator handling the heavy lift.
  • Technical fluency to assess engineering impact and distinguish strong technologists in screening conversations.
  • Experience handling complex offer situations, including above-band justifications, counter-offers that are 2 to 3x higher, and mid-process leveling changes.
  • Hiring-manager-level judgment with the ability to push back on miscalibrated searches and make decisions in ambiguity.
  • Experience mentoring other recruiters and building tools, programs, or process improvements that outlast direct ownership.
  • Genuine curiosity about the market, engineering quality, candidate motivation, and culture fit.
  • Comfort using AI daily and willingness to incorporate AI into recruiting work.
  • Experience with high-caliber technical recruiting across seniority levels and non-standard compensation strategy (preferred).
