Description

  • Design, implement, and maintain relational and NoSQL databases across platforms such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Aurora, and MongoDB.
  • Integrate database deployments into CI/CD pipelines to support automated schema migrations, rollback, and testing.
  • Develop and manage infrastructure as code for database provisioning using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible.
  • Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions to ensure database performance, health, and security.
  • Optimize queries, indexes, and execution plans to improve database performance and reduce costs.
  • Manage high availability, replication, backup, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Collaborate with developers, SREs, and DevOps engineers to support secure application-to-database integration.
  • Enforce database security best practices, including encryption, key management, access control, and regulatory compliance.
  • Automate routine operational tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and drive root cause analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Database Engineer or DBA.
  • At least 3+ years of experience in a DevOps or cloud environment.
  • Proficiency with at least one of PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, or Aurora, with working knowledge of the others.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Liquibase, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Experience with cloud platforms; AWS is preferred, and Azure or GCP is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of database security, encryption, and auditing.
  • Understanding of Kafka clusters.
  • Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
  • Work visa sponsorship is not offered for this position.
