Description

  • Lead on-site and remote implementations of Prepared’s solutions for public safety agencies, including hardware setup and system integrations.
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact during customer onboarding and early adoption.
  • Configure, ship, and support Prepared’s proprietary hardware and help customers integrate with their existing systems.
  • Provide Tier 2 technical support and troubleshoot escalated issues from the customer support team.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Support, Customer Success, project managers, and client stakeholders to improve implementation outcomes.
  • Contribute to process improvements and documentation that support future scaling and first-call resolution.
  • Support deployments in public safety environments and help define how the implementation function scales as new products and more complex deployments are added.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of direct experience working with public safety systems such as 911 call handling, CAD, radio consoles, and logging recorders.
  • Experience in technical field services, implementation, or installation roles with a strong customer-facing component.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time for on-site deployments.
  • Ability to work autonomously and own projects end-to-end.
  • Strong ability to proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Engineering and Product to refine workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with 911 call handling systems such as VESTA, Viper, or Solacom (preferred).
  • Experience with Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) platforms (preferred).
  • Experience with radio console systems and logging recorders (preferred).
  • Experience using network and traffic analysis tools such as Wireshark (preferred).
  • Experience supporting, configuring, troubleshooting, or operating systems in PSAPs, ECCs, or other mission-critical public safety environments (preferred).
  • Legal eligibility to work in a firearms environment may be required for some roles.
