Description

  • Lead on-site and remote implementations of Prepared’s solutions for public safety agencies, including hardware setup and system integrations.
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact during customer onboarding and early adoption.
  • Configure, ship, and support Prepared’s proprietary hardware and help customers integrate it with existing systems.
  • Provide Tier 2 technical support and troubleshoot escalated issues from the customer support team.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Support, and Customer Success to improve implementation processes.
  • Provide real-time feedback from deployments to help refine new workflows and product improvements.
  • Contribute to process and documentation improvements that support team scaling and first-call resolution.
  • Own projects end-to-end and proactively identify and resolve implementation issues.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of direct experience working with public safety systems such as 911 call handling, CAD, radio consoles, and logging recorders.
  • Experience in technical field services, implementation, or installation roles with a strong customer-facing component.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time for on-site deployments.
  • Experience supporting, configuring, troubleshooting, or operating systems in PSAPs, ECCs, or other mission-critical public safety environments.
  • Hands-on experience with 911 call handling systems such as VESTA, Viper, or Solacom.
  • Experience with Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) platforms used to manage emergency response workflows.
  • Experience with radio console systems supporting multi-agency communications.
  • Experience with logging recorders used for call review, compliance, and operational analysis.
  • Experience with network and traffic analysis tools such as Wireshark to troubleshoot system performance and integrations.
  • Legal eligibility to work in a firearms environment may be required for some roles.
