Description

  • Lead deployment of Axon Air drone technology for law enforcement, enterprise, and public safety agencies.
  • Engage agency leaders and drone program managers during pre-sale and post-sale phases to design and improve UAS programs.
  • Conduct needs assessments, deliver technical demonstrations, create deployment plans, and support test-and-evaluation engagements.
  • Lead and manage large or complex program implementations, including readiness, compliance, and third-party vendor integration.
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for drone operations, system configuration, and SaaS integrations.
  • Develop, schedule, and deliver advanced drone training programs to support technical proficiency and long-term adoption.
  • Mentor Axon Air PSMs and cross-functional partners by sharing expertise, workflows, and best practices.
  • Use project management tools to define scope, track milestones, mitigate risks, and communicate status to stakeholders.
  • Capture customer feedback, including feature requests and operational challenges, and relay it to internal teams and product roadmaps.
  • Stay current on UAS technologies, FAA regulations, and emerging trends, and contribute to product testing and evaluations.

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5+ years of professional services, technical deployment, or UAS program management experience.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex technical deployments and customer-facing projects.
  • FAA Part 107 certification required; advanced certifications are strongly preferred.
  • Advanced expertise in UAS platforms such as DJI, Skydio, SkyHero, and Fotokite, detection systems such as Dedrone, and drone management software such as DroneSense.
  • Experience with network infrastructure, data management, or SaaS integrations is preferred.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and consultative skills with the ability to influence executive and technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience providing in-person technical instruction in operational or high-stakes environments.
  • Ability to work independently while mentoring peers and junior team members.
  • Willingness to travel weekly across North America, with potential for international travel.
  • Familiarity with law enforcement, security, or military operations is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and work in elevated environments, including climbing ladders and stairs.
  • Must pass a CJIS background check and maintain CJIS clearance.
  • Some roles may require legal eligibility to work in a firearms environment.
