Description

  • Design, build, and evolve backend components, APIs, and services for the logistics platform.
  • Work on Java-based backend systems and contribute to database and external system integrations.
  • Ensure performance, scalability, and maintainability across the codebase.
  • Contribute to software architecture decisions and help shape the platform’s technical direction.
  • Support the expansion of AWS cloud infrastructure and participate in cloud-related decisions.
  • Help improve DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and automation.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and the evaluation of new technologies, frameworks, and tools.
  • Analyze technical challenges and propose pragmatic, effective solutions.
  • Take on growing technical ownership in coordination, roadmap discussions, and team-level technical decisions.
  • Use AI tools in the development process and help shape efficient AI-assisted workflows across the team.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4–6 years of experience in backend development with Java.
  • Solid experience with REST APIs, relational databases, and backend system architecture.
  • Interest in software architecture, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps practices, including CI/CD, containerization, and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Structured approach to work with the ability to think holistically about technical topics.
  • Fast learner who is comfortable picking up new technologies, domains, and problem spaces quickly.
  • Solution-oriented mindset with a feel for pragmatic, commercially sound decisions.
  • Strong communication skills in both German and English.
  • Genuine motivation to grow professionally and take on increasing responsibility.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS is a plus.
  • Experience with Linux-based operating systems is a plus.
  • Familiarity with monitoring stacks is a plus.
  • Understanding of software architecture patterns is a plus.
  • Experience coordinating technical projects or teams is a plus.
  • Experience integrating AI/ML into development workflows or software products, such as LLM APIs, AI agents, or prompt engineering, is a plus.
