Description

  • Lead client discovery, requirements, architecture, and technical design workshops.
  • Assess current-state Snowflake environments and develop future-state data architectures and models.
  • Design, develop, troubleshoot, and optimize Snowflake-based data solutions.
  • Build scalable databases, schemas, warehouses, security models, workload management, and data-sharing solutions.
  • Develop ETL/ELT pipelines integrating enterprise applications, databases, APIs, cloud platforms, and files.
  • Translate institutional requirements into architectures, data models, source-to-target mappings, and development specifications.
  • Implement data-quality controls, reconciliation, validation, exception handling, and monitoring.
  • Lead technical workstreams and collaborate with client stakeholders and consulting delivery teams.
  • Mentor developers, data engineers, analysts, and client technical resources.
  • Support sales and business-development activities and build trusted client relationships.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in data engineering, architecture, warehousing, analytics, or related technology roles.
  • 4+ years of hands-on Snowflake architecture and development experience.
  • Advanced SQL skills, including complex queries, views, stored procedures, functions, and transformation logic.
  • Experience designing scalable Snowflake environments, data models, security controls, and performance and cost optimization strategies.
  • Experience developing ETL/ELT pipelines and integrating diverse enterprise data sources.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across Snowflake performance, queries, data loads, security, integrations, and configuration.
  • Experience delivering data, analytics, warehouse, or cloud-platform solutions for higher education institutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Preferred experience with higher education data domains, Workday, PeopleSoft, Banner, Salesforce Education Cloud, Slate, or similar platforms.
  • Preferred experience with Snowflake capabilities, orchestration tools, BI platforms, cloud ecosystems, data governance, and legacy warehouse modernization.
  • SnowPro Core or Advanced Architect/Data Engineer certifications are relevant certifications.
  • Ability to travel periodically based on business and client needs.

  • $120,000–$188,000 USD base salary plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.
