Description

  • Conduct targeted assessments of customer environments to identify security control gaps and prioritize weaknesses.
  • Implement and optimize technical security controls across cloud and on-premise infrastructure.
  • Deploy and harden endpoint protection, email security, network access, identity, and access management controls.
  • Apply zero-trust and other technical remediation measures to reduce common attack vectors and secure critical systems.
  • Translate technical hardening work into business value and support customers in building long-term security resilience.
  • Evaluate and update hardening playbooks and tooling to keep pace with evolving threats.
  • Test and vet new security solutions for inclusion in the service.
  • Share anonymized engagement insights with internal teams to inform risk models, policy standards, and security requirements.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and technical lead for cybersecurity hardening engagements.
  • Create internal post-mortems and reports that demonstrate service impact and successful security transformations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in security hardening, including implementing and optimizing security controls across complex environments.
  • Deep technical knowledge of EDR/MDR, IAM, and email security solutions.
  • Extensive experience implementing MFA and Active Directory/Entra ID security improvements.
  • Experience securing network architectures, including firewall remediation, VPN, ZTNA, SASE, and cloud hardening in Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Strong communication skills for guiding customers through technical remediation in high-stress post-event situations.
  • Ability to identify and categorize security control gaps and deliver rapid, high-impact recommendations.
  • Collaborative mindset with experience working across internal and external teams.
  • Experience collecting and analyzing data from security tools to support risk management decisions.
  • Experience translating emerging cyber threat intelligence into proactive defensive measures.
