Description

  • Design, implement, and maintain enterprise patch management frameworks, policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Establish patch prioritization models based on risk, criticality, and business impact.
  • Lead remediation efforts based on vulnerability scanning findings and coordinate emergency patching for zero-day and high-severity vulnerabilities.
  • Provide risk-based recommendations to stakeholders and leadership on patch remediation decisions.
  • Manage patching across Windows, Linux, virtualized environments, cloud platforms, and networking systems.
  • Administer enterprise patching tools such as SCCM/MECM, WSUS, Red Hat Satellite, and Ansible.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline patch deployment and reporting.
  • Improve patch compliance metrics, dashboards, rollback plans, and contingency strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards and prepare reports for audits and executive leadership.
  • Serve as a technical lead, mentor junior engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and support incident response and change management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in systems engineering, infrastructure operations, or security operations.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise patch management tools.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux distributions.
  • Experience with vulnerability management platforms.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, and Bash.
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and enterprise architecture.
  • Experience in highly regulated environments is preferred.
  • Preferred certification: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator or equivalent.
  • Preferred certification: Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), CompTIA Security+/CySA+, or CISSP.
