Description

Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures and ensure accurate posting of accounting entries.
Prepare working papers, continuity schedules, and reconciliations for all general ledger and balance sheet accounts.
Lead monthly variance analysis and budget-to-actual reporting with commentary for senior leadership.
Prepare and review monthly financial reporting packs for internal and external stakeholders.
Prepare and review monthly and quarterly covenant reporting packs to ensure compliance with debt covenants and lender requirements.
Oversee quarterly and annual financial statements and reports in accordance with IFRS.
Review, coach, and mentor junior and intermediate finance team members and support their professional development.
Own compliance for sales taxes, corporate taxes, and deferred taxes, including filings and coordination with external tax advisors.
Serve as the primary contact for the annual external audit and corporate tax filing, coordinating with auditors and advisors.
Partner with the Senior Director of Finance on strategic initiatives, ad hoc analysis, and process improvement projects.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
CPA designation required or near completion.
4-6 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
At least 2 years of senior or supervisory accounting experience.
Experience with IFRS is required.
Public company or SaaS industry experience is a strong asset.
Ability to manage tight deadlines in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.
Experience consolidating and interpreting financial data from multiple systems and sources.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, with Excel expertise required.
Experience with ERP systems is an asset.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Criminal background check required.
