Description

  • Promote the portfolio and build strong product and disease-state knowledge to support clinical discussions with healthcare professionals.
  • Engage in customized, compliant, and ethical customer interactions based on specific needs.
  • Drive territory performance to meet or exceed sales forecasts and objectives.
  • Execute territory strategies, tactics, and budget/resource allocation to deliver on business goals.
  • Maintain current knowledge of local market dynamics, practice structures, business models, and key influencers.
  • Call on pediatric endocrinologists, geneticists, orthopedists, endocrinologists, and pediatricians as primary customers.
  • Gain access to institutions and navigate complex referral networks.
  • Use analytical tools to evaluate business performance, identify opportunities, and adjust resource use effectively.
  • Develop, communicate, and execute a business plan to achieve and surpass goals.
  • Collaborate with peers, internal stakeholders, and the access team to maximize pull-through and improve brand access.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience, preferably in rare disease and/or specialty therapeutics.
  • Proven history of strong performance.
  • High clinical acumen and the ability to communicate technical information effectively.
  • Experience working in an ambiguous, rapidly changing environment with resilience and flexibility.
  • Experience with complex distribution systems and HUB services.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in an accountability-based team culture.
  • Self-starter with a hunter mentality, strong judgment, and ethical decision-making.
  • Experience in a multi-specialty environment and with establishing new customer relationships.
  • Ability to analyze data and metrics to diagnose performance issues and identify opportunities.
  • Ability to meet all credentialing requirements at all times.
  • Valid driver’s license, safe driving record, and ability to travel overnight.
