Description

  • Understand customer and patient needs and support pull-through activities aligned with the customer strategy.
  • Serve as a valued partner to healthcare professionals and their patients in the assigned territory.
  • Develop strong product and disease-state knowledge to engage in clinical discussions with healthcare professionals.
  • Educate customers on approved indications and product efficacy and safety profiles to support on-label prescribing.
  • Use product knowledge to conduct customized, compliant, and ethical customer interactions.
  • Drive sales performance to meet or exceed forecasts and territory objectives.
  • Manage and use assigned budgets effectively to support therapeutic and territory goals.
  • Maintain knowledge of local market dynamics, practice structures, business models, key influencers, and network structures.
  • Work with leaders to develop and execute a business plan that delivers all sales objectives and goal attainment.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide appropriate resources, support formulary access efforts, and enable territory pull-through.
  • Maintain administrative excellence in call reporting, sample tracking, expense reporting, work-hour management, and other documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of sales experience in a specialty sales environment.
  • Preferred experience in rare disease, injectable products, and adult endocrinology disease states.
  • Preferred experience in a new product launch environment and start-up or ambiguous, changing environments.
  • Experience working with complex distribution systems, HUB services, patient services, and specialty pharmacies.
  • Demonstrated strong performance history and current strong performance.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with peers and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to analyze data and metrics to assess progress, diagnose performance issues, and identify opportunities.
  • Self-starter with excellent decision-making, judgment, and ethics.
  • Ability to establish new customer relationships and communicate technical information in an adaptable, ethical, and effective manner.
  • Ability to meet credentialing requirements at all times.
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
  • Overnight travel required.
