Description

  • Build new features and enhance existing product functionality with a focus on quality.
  • Iterate quickly to deliver value to customers.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and product leaders on solutions and feature direction.
  • Mentor software engineers and provide constructive code reviews.
  • Participate in defining application architecture.
  • Take part in the on-call rotation and help improve incident response processes.
  • Use time effectively and focus on high-quality results.
  • Work on large tasks and help solve complex product and engineering problems.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working in a software engineering environment.
  • Proven track record of implementing, shipping, and maintaining production software.
  • History of collaborative, team-based work.
  • History of being a technical leader.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to write clear, testable, and maintainable JavaScript.
  • Expertise with frontend technologies including React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and S(CSS).
  • Expertise with backend technologies including Node.js, Postgres, and Docker.
  • Proficiency developing and maintaining services on AWS.
  • Strong familiarity with Git and GitHub.
  • Experience with event-driven architectures (preferred).
  • Experience with a variety of frontend frameworks and/or native web components (preferred).
  • Experience with real-time collaboration technologies such as CRDTs and WebSockets (preferred).
  • Experience with TypeScript, ML, LLMs, or OpenAI-related technologies (preferred).
  • Experience with and passion for accessibility (preferred).

Benefits

  • $137,700 to $182,426 annual salary range.
  • Bonus-eligible position.
