Description

  • Manage a high volume of inbound and outbound patient calls with professionalism and empathy.
  • Verify patient eligibility and insurance benefits using online tools or by contacting insurers directly.
  • Educate patients about insurance coverage, estimated out-of-pocket costs, and financial assistance options.
  • Administer financial assistance programs.
  • Submit and manage prior authorization cases and follow up to resolution.
  • Accurately document patient interactions and follow-up activities in the billing system.
  • Obtain and manage required documentation while collaborating with Revenue Cycle and Customer Success teams.
  • Build positive relationships with patients and internal stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Support special projects and process improvement initiatives as needed.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree required.
  • 1–3 years of relevant healthcare or patient access experience.
  • Experience in a high-volume call center or patient-facing healthcare environment strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of medical benefits, insurance policies, coordination of benefits (COB), prior authorization workflows, and payer requirements for Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial plans.
  • Customer-focused approach with the ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
  • Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems, tools, and processes.
  • Experience in a startup environment is a plus.
  • Fluency in Spanish is preferred.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
