Description

  • Conduct investment and operational due diligence on fund managers and investment strategies.
  • Lead manager interviews and due diligence meetings across hedge funds, private markets, niche alternatives, and long-only portfolios.
  • Analyze investment processes, portfolio construction, risk management, performance attribution, operational controls, and legal and regulatory compliance.
  • Prepare due diligence reports and investment memos with findings, risk factors, and recommendations for investment committees and executive leadership.
  • Review pitch decks, DDQs, performance reports, risk disclosures, offering documents, and audited financial statements.
  • Assess operational infrastructure, including service providers, valuation procedures, NAV processes, trade reconciliation, and back-office capabilities.
  • Evaluate risk frameworks, including leverage, liquidity, stress testing, scenario analysis, and downside protection.
  • Collaborate with client investment, legal, compliance, and sales teams on regulatory assessments, contracts, marketing reviews, and client education.
  • Monitor existing manager relationships for performance, strategy drift, and organizational changes.
  • Develop due diligence frameworks, assessment criteria, scoring methodologies, peer-comparison tools, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Hands-on leadership experience in investment management and due diligence.
  • Familiarity with alternative investments, asset classes, and investment strategies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to independently execute assigned work and manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines amid shifting priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and professionally represent the firm.
  • Ability to identify and develop improvements to due diligence processes.
