Description

  • Build and optimize finance infrastructure across alternative investment firms.
  • Oversee fund accounting, management company accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash management.
  • Enhance financial reporting, internal controls, and operational transparency.
  • Partner with founders, CIOs, and senior leadership on strategic planning and growth initiatives.
  • Manage audits, tax coordination, and relationships with external service providers.
  • Support institutional readiness, investor reporting, and financial governance initiatives.
  • Deliver strategic, project-based leadership across financial operations and business planning.
  • Contribute expertise on finance processes as client needs arise through Arootah's advisor network.

Requirements

  • Prior experience as a Chief Financial Officer, Head of Finance, Controller, or equivalent senior finance leader.
  • Experience within a hedge fund, private equity firm, or family office.
  • Deep understanding of fund structures, investment operations, and financial infrastructure.
  • Proven track record of building scalable finance functions and improving operational processes.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in dynamic environments.
  • Availability for project-based, as-needed advisory work rather than a guaranteed full-time placement.
  • Experience supporting alternative investment firms is preferred.

Benefits

  • Hourly compensation of $225 to $350 per hour.
