Description

  • Lead, coach, and develop a globally distributed Customer Engineering team across North America, EMEA, and emerging markets.
  • Define and execute a global hiring strategy for Customer Engineering, including building regional presence and establishing operating rhythms.
  • Build talent development pathways that grow Customer Engineers into senior architects and technical leaders.
  • Guide rigorous technical discovery to capture customer mission goals, AI workload requirements, sovereignty constraints, and connectivity realities.
  • Translate customer needs into validated edge architectures using Armada’s modular data centers, platform, and AI stack.
  • Define and govern solution design standards for AI inference, real-time analytics, and edge ML pipelines.
  • Set quality standards for discovery outputs, architecture designs, demo environments, and proof-of-value criteria.
  • Partner with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Deployment teams to align technical positioning, roadmaps, and customer outcomes.
  • Develop repeatable global playbooks and reference architectures for AI edge deployments and hybrid cloud-edge patterns.
  • Incorporate global customer feedback into Armada’s AI product roadmap, hardware evolution, and platform strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 7+ years leading Customer Engineering or Solutions Architecture teams in pre-sales, with experience hiring and scaling globally.
  • 7–10+ years of hands-on pre-sales or solutions engineering experience in AI infrastructure, edge computing, datacenters, or distributed systems.
  • Deep expertise in NVIDIA GPU architectures, AI inference frameworks such as TensorRT, ONNX, and vLLM, and edge AI platforms.
  • Strong grounding in datacenter and edge infrastructure, including compute, storage, networking, and facility systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, VMware, KVM, Hyper-V, and cloud service models such as IaaS, PaaS, and hybrid.
  • Proven ability to influence C-level technical and operational leaders across global enterprise and government customers.
  • Willingness to travel internationally, including to remote and operationally austere field sites.
  • Experience deploying or architecting AI solutions in oil and gas, defense and intelligence, utilities, telecommunications, or mining is preferred.
  • Experience with modular, containerized, or mobile data center deployments is preferred.
  • Familiarity with edge AI optimization, model quantization, and bandwidth-constrained deployment frameworks is preferred.
  • Experience with OT/IT convergence, including sensors, IIoT devices, and SCADA systems, is preferred.
  • Experience with satellite and hybrid connectivity architectures such as Starlink, LEO, or VSAT is preferred.
  • International experience building Customer Engineering teams or managing engagements in EMEA, APAC, or Middle East markets is preferred.
  • Certifications in AI/ML, cloud infrastructure, or datacenter design such as NVIDIA DLI, AWS, Azure, GCP, CDCP, DCDC, or RCDD are preferred.
