Description

  • Contribute to the architecture of the mobile application and choose appropriate libraries and tools.
  • Write clean, high-quality, well-tested React Native code.
  • Promote coding standards and support automated testing frameworks.
  • Collaborate with Tech Lead, Product Manager, Engineering Manager, QA, Designers, and Engineers to deliver aligned solutions.
  • Ensure solution designs address performance, reliability, security, and other non-functional requirements.
  • Maintain observability and support systems that meet agreed Service Level Objectives (SLOs).
  • Participate in root cause analysis when issues occur.
  • Provide accurate estimation and feasibility assessments for delivery planning.
  • Help with hiring and onboarding, and mentor junior engineers where needed.
  • Identify and address technical debt to improve long-term product health and maintainability.

Requirements

  • Significant professional experience building, shipping, and maintaining complex mobile applications using React Native.
  • Experience with enterprise-scale or high-availability applications and systems.
  • Proven experience taking a mobile application from concept through launch on the App Store and/or Google Play.
  • Strong grounding in engineering principles and design patterns such as SOLID and DRY.
  • Deep experience designing, consuming, and collaborating on RESTful APIs, with understanding of mobile-centric API requirements.
  • Familiarity with observability practices, including monitoring, metrics, alerting, and root cause analysis.
  • Understanding of secure coding and compliance requirements.
  • Experience mentoring engineers and fostering a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with agile facilitation, including Scrum or Kanban, and continuous improvement.
  • Native mobile development experience with Swift or Kotlin for bridges or performance-critical components (bonus).
  • Hands-on experience setting up CI/CD pipelines for React Native applications, using tools such as Fastlane, Bitrise, or GitHub Actions (bonus).
  • Knowledge of the PHP ecosystem to support backend collaboration (bonus).
