Description

  • Collaborate with the Product Manager, QA Engineer, and Technical Lead to shape solutions for feature requests.
  • Lead the creation of detailed documentation for new feature work, including diagrams.
  • Drive testing for new features and ensure strong coverage and quality standards.
  • Build a user-centric front-end platform that delivers strong user experiences.
  • Help prevent production incidents by identifying risks, supporting remediation, and driving root cause analysis.
  • Write well-architected, efficient, and scalable code using industry-standard design patterns and methodologies.
  • Lead code reviews and pair programming sessions while mentoring colleagues.
  • Participate in tech talks, workshops, and team learning initiatives to share knowledge across the team.
  • Identify and improve developer experience and workflow processes.
  • Contribute to the ongoing migration from ExtJs to React and the development of new features, libraries, and component systems.

Requirements

  • Extensive expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript, with a strong understanding of JavaScript fundamentals.
  • Proven experience leading projects with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue, or similar.
  • Excellent knowledge of HTML and CSS.
  • Strong understanding of web accessibility.
  • Strong experience with automated testing, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
  • Good understanding of software delivery methodologies such as Scrum and Agile.
  • Advanced knowledge of software engineering principles and best practices, including SOLID and DRY.
  • Good understanding of front-end build tools such as Webpack and Babel.
  • Basic software architecture skills and understanding of how front ends fit into the wider software stack.
  • Experience with a backend language or framework such as PHP/Symfony.
  • Leadership qualities, a proactive problem-solving mindset, and experience mentoring developers.
  • Excellent written and spoken English for clear communication.
  • Experience with Docker and containerisation.
  • Experience with build tooling such as GitHub Actions and bash scripting.
  • Bonus: experience with React Native or other mobile app development technologies.
  • Bonus: experience with enterprise solutions.
  • Bonus: experience developing a frontend framework or platform.
  • Bonus: experience writing PHP.
  • Bonus: experience with relational and NoSQL database technologies.
  • Bonus: familiarity with refactoring, clean code, Domain-Driven Design, and Test-Driven Development.
