Description

  • Own the technical delivery of Salesforce Commerce Cloud implementations from detailed design through deployment and production support.
  • Build and maintain SFRA architecture, cartridge structure, controllers, ISML templates, pipelines, and Business Manager configuration.
  • Make and document platform architecture decisions, including cartridge layering, site preferences, data extensions, and integration surfaces.
  • Enforce production-grade engineering standards for accessibility, performance, SEO hygiene, mobile-first rendering, and testing.
  • Define and protect API and data contracts between SFCC and third-party systems such as payments, search, inventory, BNPL, CMS, and reviews.
  • Coordinate non-SFCC integration layers to keep changes backward-compatible and well documented.
  • Identify and manage delivery risks, dependencies, scope creep, and technical debt before they affect timelines.
  • Translate SFCC technical constraints into clear language for PMs and client stakeholders.
  • Keep engineering, product management, and design aligned on decisions, status, and implementation approach.

Requirements

  • Significant experience delivering complex Salesforce Commerce Cloud projects and supporting them in production.
  • Hands-on expertise with SFRA architecture, including cartridge layering, controllers, ISML templates, models, and client-side scripts.
  • Experience with Business Manager, including catalog and product management, promotions, site preferences, data extensions, and custom objects.
  • Experience with SFCC scripting libraries such as dw.system, dw.catalog, dw.order, dw.web, and the service framework.
  • Experience with storefront pipelines and quota-aware design, including CPU time, script file size, and API call quotas.
  • Experience with deployment and ALM practices, including code version management, cartridge upload pipelines, and sandbox/staging/production promotion.
  • Experience with SFCC Service Framework and OCAPI, including Shop API and Data API.
  • Working knowledge of commerce stack integrations such as Adyen, Stripe, Algolia, Salesforce Predictive Sort, inventory, BNPL, CMS, and review platforms.
  • Comfort running build work and operational support in parallel across agency, client, and external partner delivery models.
  • Fluent English, both written and verbal.
  • Salesforce B2C Commerce Developer certification or B2C Architect track is preferred.
  • Familiarity with headless or SCAPI/PWA Kit implementations is preferred.
  • Exposure to adjacent Salesforce clouds such as Marketing Cloud or Service Cloud is preferred.
  • Node.js and React experience is preferred.
  • CI/CD pipeline experience with tools such as Jenkins or Bitbucket Pipelines is preferred.
