Description

  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable, low-latency backend services for remote assist session management and real-time data streaming.
  • Architect and implement cloud infrastructure for remote assistance across multiple AWS regions using protobuf and gRPC.
  • Design and implement the data persistence layer using NoSQL databases such as Redis.
  • Build data pipelines to ingest, process, and store real-time data from autonomous vehicles.
  • Collaborate with onboard software teams and front-end engineers to ensure seamless end-to-end data flow.
  • Ensure backend security, reliability, and resilience, including handling network disruptions and failover.
  • Optimize data serialization and transmission to reduce latency and bandwidth usage on the server side.
  • Maintain core services and backend systems that support communication between autonomous vehicles and human operator workstations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in web services software development and cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong proficiency in a backend programming language such as Go or Python.
  • Experience with distributed systems, microservices, and scalable backend applications.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or OCI.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases, such as Redis.
  • Experience leading projects end to end (preferred).
  • Experience in a startup or fast-paced environment (preferred).

  • Base salary range of $153,000 - $222,000 USD annually.
