Description

  • Design, build, and operate critical data infrastructure platforms, including lakehouse, replication, orchestration, and distributed compute systems.
  • Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of platform services supporting enterprise data workloads.
  • Contribute to infrastructure architecture decisions for large-scale modern data platform standards.
  • Partner with engineering, analytics, and product teams on data platform adoption and migration initiatives.
  • Improve developer productivity through automation, tooling, and AI/agentic workflows.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and lead troubleshooting for complex production issues.
  • Produce clear documentation and operational runbooks to support platform usage and reliability.
  • Support teams in using the data platform effectively and efficiently.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in infrastructure, platform engineering, or data engineering roles.
  • Experience working on highly collaborative engineering teams that solve complex technical challenges in real time.
  • Strong infrastructure architecture experience in large-scale or enterprise environments.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, container orchestration such as Kubernetes, and distributed systems.
  • Experience with data platforms, including lakehouse architectures, data replication, and orchestration frameworks such as Airflow, Kafka, Trino, or Iceberg.
  • Demonstrated experience using AI/agentic engineering tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools.
  • Ability to pivot quickly in response to changing priorities while maintaining high-quality delivery.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts and tradeoffs to stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with technical and non-technical partners.
  • Track record of producing clear, high-quality documentation and enabling others through shared knowledge.
  • Remote position with applicants located in the Eastern time zone to align with team working hours.

  • Base salary range of $115,000 to $205,000, commensurate with experience and performance.
