Description

  • Own and manage end-to-end payroll operations for the Netherlands, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, and Austria.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Maintain compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and internal governance standards, including SOX controls.
  • Partner with external payroll providers and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and streamline operations.
  • Serve as the primary contact for payroll questions from employees, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Maintain and improve payroll systems, processes, and controls.
  • Prepare payroll reports and reconciliations for Accounting, Finance, and HR teams.
  • Assist with payroll journal entries during month-end close.
  • Support audits and implement recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Work with HR to ensure payroll data accuracy across onboarding, promotions, and terminations.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of proven experience managing multi-country payroll operations across European jurisdictions.
  • Experience with payroll implications of equity awards across multiple jurisdictions, including taxation, withholding, and reporting obligations.
  • Strong knowledge of European labor law and statutory requirements.
  • Preferred knowledge of United States and Canadian labor law and payroll practices.
  • Experience managing relationships with external payroll providers across multiple countries.
  • Proficiency with international HRIS and payroll systems such as Personio, UKG/Immedis, ADP, SAP, or similar.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookup functions.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously, handle sensitive information discreetly, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative international environment.
