Description

  • Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for core internal security products and platforms.
  • Develop and maintain a multi-product roadmap across several security tools and services.
  • Engage application developers, security engineers, and SREs to understand workflows, pain points, and requirements.
  • Translate strategic goals and stakeholder needs into PRDs, epics, user stories, API contracts, and KPIs.
  • Partner with engineering to shape architectures that balance security, developer experience, scalability, and cost.
  • Prioritize features and initiatives based on risk reduction, feasibility, developer friction, and business value.
  • Drive internal adoption of security products and measure their impact through defined success metrics.
  • Lead new product initiatives, including opportunity sizing, build-vs-buy analysis, and business case development.
  • Research emerging threats, vendor technologies, and open-source solutions to inform security tooling decisions.
  • Communicate product vision, roadmap, risks, and value proposition to technical teams and executive stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software product management experience, specifically with internal tools or platforms.
  • Proven ability to own product strategy end to end while managing multiple priorities.
  • Ability to justify security investments using data on time saved, risk reduction, or efficiency gains.
  • Strong capability to gather requirements from highly technical teams and convert them into engineering tasks.
  • Ability to communicate complex security trade-offs clearly to both executives and engineers.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and driving high-impact projects to completion.
  • Preferred: prior experience in a security organization, including AppSec, Cloud Security, or DevSecOps.
  • Preferred: familiarity with SAST and DAST.
  • Preferred: hands-on experience with security tooling such as vulnerability scanners, automation platforms, or IAM services.
  • Preferred: ability to use diagrams and mockups to align teams on complex workflows and architectures.
  • Preferred: strong relationship-building and influence skills to drive cross-team adoption.
