Description

  • Plan, coordinate, and lead the development and sustainment of a holistic support system covering production, launch, depot and field maintenance, training, and related functions.
  • Hire, develop, and grow a multidisciplinary support team including technicians, engineers, technical writers, and trainers.
  • Collaborate with customer stakeholders to define a concept of employment and incorporate customer inputs into system design and program decisions.
  • Manage the support plan for deployed assets, including critical infrastructure needs such as maintenance depots and test sites.
  • Work directly with operators to understand equipment use and inform the scoping and design of future support infrastructure.
  • Develop customer training strategy and train-the-trainer curriculum for a modern tech product environment.
  • Manage requirements for field support equipment, including handling equipment, shipping and logistics equipment, shoreside C2 systems, host vessels, and remote tasking and monitoring equipment.
  • Own critical interfaces with other system elements to deliver an integrated end-to-end capability.
  • Own the vendor management process, including flowing down technical requirements and ensuring on-time delivery of critical components.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Marine Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, or proven experience in a relevant field.
  • Experience in logistics, support, maintenance, or training management roles.
  • Experience supporting fielded systems under customer control.
  • Experience working on maritime craft in a commercial or defense setting.
  • Understanding of the requirements to support robotic systems at sea.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability to enable and empower teams.
  • Ability to think strategically, act tactically, simplify complexity, and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Personally resilient and self-starting, with the ability to build from the ground up in a highly dynamic environment.
  • Highly collaborative with internal and external stakeholders and able to challenge constructively when needed.
  • Strong ownership and pride in the quality and efficacy of work.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret clearance.
  • Ability to travel 25% to customer and test sites.
  • Demonstrated understanding of multi-domain unmanned and autonomous weapon system development and employment (preferred).
  • Demonstrated engineering management capability and technical/personnel leadership qualities (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of reliability, autonomous system architectures, and design approaches for unmanned weapons systems (preferred).
  • Experience building and managing cross-functional teams around a common vision (preferred).
