Description

  • Define and drive the technical architecture for QualityOS, including system design, scalability patterns, integration strategies, and build-versus-platform tradeoffs.
  • Architect and implement mission-critical distributed systems, services, APIs, and tooling for manufacturing quality workflows.
  • Establish engineering excellence through comprehensive testing, deployment safety practices, infrastructure as code, observability, and operational rigor.
  • Collaborate with Platform/Foundations to shape shared infrastructure and drive adoption of platform capabilities.
  • Partner across MES product teams to integrate QualityOS into cohesive manufacturing experiences and evolve shared data models.
  • Represent the quality domain in architecture, security, operations, and infrastructure decisions across the organization.
  • Raise the technical bar through code review, architecture discussions, and shared ownership practices.
  • Identify systemic technical issues, reduce friction, eliminate single points of failure, and improve automation and tooling.
  • Drive technical consensus and influence architecture decisions beyond a single team.
  • Balance hands-on feature execution with long-term technical strategy and maintainability.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of software engineering experience building products in fast-paced environments.
  • Proven ability to influence technical direction across teams and drive architectural consensus.
  • Experience with large enterprise applications and platforms with high availability requirements.
  • Strong full-stack expertise with JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and modern web frameworks such as Next.js or Remix.
  • User-focused engineering mindset with the ability to translate user needs into technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders and build cross-team alignment.
  • U.S. Person status is required because the role must access export-controlled data.
  • Familiarity with AWS, TypeScript, and React/Remix is particularly helpful.
  • Experience in hyper-growth, startup-like environments is preferred.
  • Manufacturing or quality domain knowledge, including QMS, MES, or incident management platforms, is preferred.
  • Experience in defense, autonomy, robotics, or mission-critical systems is helpful but not required.
  • Experience with AI/LLM integration and agentic tooling in production software is preferred.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS/SCI clearance is preferred.
