Description

  • Define and drive technical architecture for Manufacturing Production Solutions, including system design, scalability patterns, integration strategies, and build-versus-platform decisions.
  • Architect and implement distributed systems, APIs, and tooling for work order management, scheduling, material tracking, and capacity planning.
  • Establish engineering excellence through testing, deployment safety practices such as blue/green and canary releases, infrastructure as code, observability, and operational rigor.
  • Collaborate with Platform/Foundations to shape shared infrastructure and drive adoption of platform capabilities.
  • Partner with other MES product teams to create cohesive manufacturing experiences and evolve data models across production, quality, and supply chain domains.
  • Represent manufacturing requirements in architecture, security, operations, and infrastructure discussions.
  • Raise the technical bar through code review, architecture discussions, shared ownership models, and improved engineering practices.
  • Identify systemic technical issues, remove single points of failure, and improve execution through automation and better tooling.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of software engineering experience building products in fast-paced environments.
  • Proven ability to influence technical direction across teams and drive architectural consensus.
  • Experience with large enterprise applications and platforms with high availability requirements.
  • Strong full-stack experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and modern web frameworks such as Next.js or Remix.
  • Systems thinking and the ability to translate manufacturing operations requirements into scalable technical architectures.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders and build cross-team alignment.
  • U.S. Person status required due to access to export-controlled data.
  • Familiarity with AWS, TypeScript, and React/Remix is particularly helpful.
  • Experience in hypergrowth, startup-like environments and scaling software development processes, team culture, and methods.
  • Manufacturing operations domain knowledge, including MES, ERP, production scheduling, work order management, or supply chain platforms.
  • Experience in defense, autonomy, robotics, or mission-critical systems is helpful but not required.
  • Experience with AI/LLM integration and agentic tooling in production software development.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS/SCI clearance.
