Description

  • Design, test, and validate proximity sensors for autonomous vehicles.
  • Lead vehicle-level integration and lifecycle design from concept through production.
  • Develop full-cycle PCB designs, including requirements gathering, schematic design, component selection, layout oversight, bring-up, testing, debugging, and system integration.
  • Develop system interconnect diagrams and define wire harnesses for electronic equipment.
  • Collaborate with other air vehicle subsystem teams within program constraints.
  • Survey and evaluate vendors to support component sourcing.
  • Conduct peer-level and cross-discipline design reviews.
  • Build and test engine system components through lab, ground, and flight tests.
  • Perform root cause analysis in support of field operations.

Requirements

  • BS/MS or higher in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of experience designing, testing, and troubleshooting complex board designs.
  • Strong background in circuit design, including components and mixed-signal design.
  • Experience with sensor design, build, test, and integration.
  • Design experience in UAS, power electronics, converter design, or powertrain.
  • Competence with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, thermal chambers, current probes, and test automation.
  • Familiarity with CAN, I2C, SPI, and similar standard interfaces.
  • Experience with electronic CAD tools; Altium preferred, Eagle and others acceptable.
  • Experience in EMI testing.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
  • Preferred: environmental testing experience in military and/or commercial industry.
  • Preferred: experience designing and testing height of burst sensors for ordnance fuzing applications.
  • Preferred: experience designing and testing ordnance fuzing systems.
  • Preferred: experience in UAS, missiles, or maritime programs.
  • Preferred: experience with DoD Weapons Safety Boards.
  • Preferred: experience designing and scaling production of components at volume.
  • Preferred: experience developing or testing complex electrical systems.
  • Preferred: experience with MIL-STD-1316, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-882E, MIL-STD-2105, JOTP-052, or JOTP-054.
  • Preferred: experience with explosive operations and/or handling munitions.
