Description

  • Develop Windows and Linux desktop applications that interface with and control physical test equipment, industrial automation, and data acquisition systems.
  • Integrate cloud data and deployment features while maintaining user authentication and security.
  • Write Python automation scripts for debug and prototype development, including hardware interaction, physical simulation, and sensor data capture.
  • Triage issues, identify root causes of failures, and coordinate next steps, including hardware-software integration problems.
  • Partner with end users and manufacturing engineers to translate operational needs into software features while balancing user experience and physical constraints.
  • Create analytics and automation tools to improve development cycle efficiency, throughput, and test-process optimization.
  • Work with physical test fixtures, sensors, actuators, and multi-platform systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Continuously improve automation methods, user interfaces, and data analytics for test systems.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Expertise in desktop application development with WPF and C#.
  • Proficiency in Python, ASP.NET, and RESTful services with C# in AWS/Azure infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience with a major relational database such as DB2 or SQL Server, and/or NoSQL databases.
  • Experience working in CI/CD and delivering DevOps automation for application deployment and testing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience collaborating on multi-disciplinary projects that integrate software with electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing systems.
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to access requirements for U.S. export-controlled information or facilities.
  • 7+ years of relevant industry experience preferred.
  • Pursuing a Master’s degree in Computer Science or Mechatronics preferred.
  • Experience with test automation or cloud deployment tools preferred.
  • Familiarity with industrial automation hardware such as PLCs, motor controllers, sensors, vision systems, and robotics preferred.
  • Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing or embedded systems integration preferred.
  • Understanding of mechanical design principles and how they affect test fixture development and product testing preferred.
  • Proficiency with data acquisition systems such as National Instruments LabVIEW/TestStand or Keysight VEE, and analysis of physical measurements preferred.
