Description

  • Architect and develop the core Sand Table plugin using Anduril’s Carbon extensibility framework.
  • Work in both low-level C++ and high-level TypeScript to extend the platform’s capabilities.
  • Partner with artists, designers, and systems engineers to integrate new data sources, user interactions, and visual features.
  • Become the subject matter expert on the Carbon extensibility layer and provide guidance to other teams.
  • Create robust APIs that enable other teams to build on your work.
  • Dive into the engine’s C++ foundation to understand its architecture and identify extension points.
  • Write clean, high-performance, maintainable code for real-time engine and scripting workflows.
  • Diagnose and solve complex technical issues across the engine, scripting layer, and artistic workflows.
  • Collaborate directly with customers to deploy the software.
  • Make pragmatic engineering decisions to deliver high-quality outcomes on time.

Requirements

  • Professional experience in game engine development or a related field involving real-time 3D simulation.
  • Strong proficiency in C++ and experience working in large, performance-critical codebases.
  • Solid experience with TypeScript for scripting, tooling, or application development.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including artists and engineers from other disciplines.
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and extensible code with an eye for robust API design.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and comfort working on ambiguous, open-ended technical tasks.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
  • Direct experience creating or working with modding communities and toolkits for games (preferred).
  • Experience with API design and SDK development (preferred).
  • Familiarity with 3D math and real-time rendering concepts (preferred).
  • Experience shipping a AAA game title (preferred).
