Description

  • Lead reviews of complex, multi-element contracts and prepare ASC 606 checklists for revenue recognition conclusions.
  • Support, calculate, and maintain standalone selling price (SSP) and fair value determinations for products and services.
  • Partner with Finance, Program Management, Contract Management, Legal, Order Management, and Proposals on contract accounting operations.
  • Research ASC 606 guidance for complex revenue scenarios and author technical accounting memos and deal-structuring guidance.
  • Liaise with external auditors and manage documentation requests for complex transactions.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation within the revenue accounting cycle.
  • Prepare and review complex journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations for month-end close.
  • Assist with the design, implementation, and testing of internal controls, policies, and procedures for SOX, GAAP, and IPO readiness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of progressive technical accounting experience with a working application of ASC 606.
  • Experience with government contracting, including FFP, CPFF, T&M, and cost reimbursable contracts, is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex accounting concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Slack is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with a large-scale ERP system such as Oracle or SAP and its Project Accounting functionality.
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud and Salesforce is strongly preferred.
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to access requirements for U.S. export-controlled information or facilities.
