Description

  • Drive improvements in product design, manufacturing, supplier performance, service, and field support to improve reliability across the product lifecycle.
  • Ensure Quality Management System compliance and sustainability to AS9100 certification.
  • Develop and improve quality KPIs and use data to evaluate, prioritize, and track product quality and reliability.
  • Support internal tracking tools for supplier incoming, manufacturing in-process, and field quality issues.
  • Lead investigations, projects, and initiatives to determine root cause and implement corrective and preventive actions internally and with suppliers.
  • Support the development and sustainability of raw material supplier inspection and incoming inspection programs.
  • Support MRB activities and the containment, audit, and disposition of defective material or quality escapes.
  • Contribute to supplier evaluation, selection, qualification, and performance management.
  • Work cross-functionally with production and other teams to define quality requirements, process control plans, and end-of-line tests for customer shipments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a similar technical field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience with OEM suppliers and manufacturing operations building complex hardware/software systems.
  • 5+ years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, or quality in aerospace/defense, automotive, or medical device fields.
  • Experience working in an ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 regulated environment.
  • Working knowledge of quality core tools including FMEA, RCCA/8D, change management, APQP, PPAP, and GD&T.
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical metrology tools and instruments.
  • Working knowledge of electro-mechanical design and relevant manufacturing processes.
  • Strong ownership mindset with demonstrated project management ability from start to finish.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
  • Master’s degree in a technical field (preferred).
  • Experience as a lead auditor for AS9100 or another ISO 9001-based QMS standard, such as ISO 13485 or IATF 16949 (preferred).
  • Experience supporting the manufacturing of Integrated Dewar Cooler Assemblies (IDCAs) and/or Infrared (IR) cameras (preferred).
  • Experience with high-mix, low-volume manufacturing and suppliers (preferred).
