Description

  • Capture current manufacturing processes, physical constraints, business rules, and decision logic into a 3D simulation-based virtual factory.
  • Create feasible shop floor, warehouse, factory, and supply chain plans and schedules that account for resource, material, and timeline constraints.
  • Maintain an adaptive virtual factory model that reflects current factory and supply chain status for future performance analysis and investment decisions.
  • Own the design of new production lines and workstation layouts for both low-rate and full-rate production.
  • Identify variation, imbalances, and bottlenecks caused by layout, equipment, staffing, or other production inputs and drive issues to resolution with cross-functional owners.
  • Translate metrics, KPIs, and reporting into operational actions to improve production line health and efficiency.
  • Produce and maintain capacity plans, balanced line layouts, staffing allocations, and time standards for manufacturing work content.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, and Business Operations to drive end-to-end operational improvements.
  • Work across both execution-level issues and strategic future-state planning for products and business lines.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Technomatix Plant Sim or equivalent discrete event simulation software such as Promodel, FlexSim, or Simio, or basic object-oriented programming knowledge in Python, R, C++, Java, or similar languages, or experience working with large data sets using SQL or NoSQL.
  • Ability to read technical documentation such as facility drawings, assembly drawings, technical specifications, and manufacturing procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively in ambiguity.
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to access requirements for U.S. export-controlled information or facilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred.
  • Experience designing or setting up new production lines or factories, from process mapping through workstation design and infrastructure collaboration, preferred.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and/or Six Sigma principles preferred.
  • Experience using data visualization applications or SQL queries preferred.
  • Prior experience with ERP, WMS, and MES systems preferred.
  • Knowledge of stochastic and deterministic models and when to apply them preferred.
  • Strong experience handling large data sets, including filtering, trend identification, and graphical representation, preferred.
  • Knowledge of design and manufacturing engineering processes, including 3D CAD modeling, 3D factory layout, process planning, manufacturing simulation, ergonomic analysis, and statistical process control, preferred.
