Description

  • Partner with Sourcing, Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing, Integration, Test, and Launch teams to derive material demand from multi-level BOMs and schedules.
  • Generate material requirement signals and work with Procurement to develop actionable material acquisition strategies.
  • Manage the mission-by-mission Material Readiness process and maintain real-time visibility into material supply and demand.
  • Develop and implement allocation strategies for constrained or at-risk materials based on company priorities and supply conditions.
  • Create material forecasts that inform immediate and medium-term sourcing strategies.
  • Participate in developing Materials Requirements Planning processes and systems within ERP platforms to improve automation and accuracy.
  • Ensure alignment across engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, test, and launch teams on material priorities and delivery timing.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in material planning, demand planning, fulfillment planning, or a similar role in fast-paced manufacturing, aerospace, or supply chain environments.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, supply chain, finance, accounting, quality, and executive management.
  • Strong understanding of Materials Requirements Planning (MRP), including key inputs such as material attributes, demand, and supply.
  • Experience working with ERP systems such as Infor LN, SAP, or Oracle.
  • Experience creating and managing demand forecasts and incorporating data inputs for accurate material planning.
  • Familiarity with BOM reconciliation.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of data analysis tools such as SQL, Tableau, or advanced Excel techniques is preferred.
  • Experience with New Product Development (NPD) or New Product Introduction (NPI) is preferred.
  • Experience with design release processes and systems is preferred.
  • Background in aerospace, frontier technology, or manufacturing environments is preferred.
