Description

Own end-of-line static-fire production test operations as the primary accountable owner.
Develop test stands, instrumentation packages, and equipment for production engine test and integration.
Design test procedures and processes for production technicians operating test facilities.
Develop system requirements and test campaigns for airbreathing turbine applications.
Work with engine control systems, including FADECs, ECUs, starter-generators, and related hardware.
Work with actuators, sensors, connectors, and control-system architecture.
Test, diagnose, and analyze engine data on test stands, test expeditions, and in flight test.
Lead data reviews and root cause investigations.
Build new static-fire test equipment and troubleshoot or improve existing systems.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Aerospace Engineering, or a similar field.
2+ years of relevant engineering experience in gas turbine, aerospace test engineering, or rocket propulsion roles.
Experience designing, building, and qualifying test equipment.
Experience with instrumentation selection and data acquisition.
Familiarity with test planning, readiness reviews, P&IDs, and other test documentation.
Programming ability in Python, Matlab, or another scripting language.
Experience with airbreathing or rocket propulsion testing.
Ability to collaborate with electrical, mechanical, software, firmware, and test engineers.
Practical experience with diagnostics monitoring, failure detection, RCCA, and data analysis.
Must be a U.S. Person and eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
Willingness to travel up to 50%.
Preferred: ability to design simple mechanical parts in CAD and knowledge of manufacturing methods such as machining, sheet metal, composites, 3D printing, and injection molding.
Preferred: experience procuring development parts and working in a fabrication environment.
Preferred: familiarity with CAN, XCP, ARINC, or similar bus protocols.
Preferred: experience with CANape or a similar CAN interface tool.
Preferred: experience designing and implementing automotive or aviation control electronics.

Benefits

US salary range: $129,000 to $171,000.
