Description

  • Own customer success through the design and delivery of a fully operational mission system for a new Maneuver Dominance platform.
  • Lead the technical development and integration of vehicle systems from initial concept through delivery.
  • Partner with Vehicle Software, program leadership, and third-party vendors to define interfacing requirements and maintain traceability to technical decisions.
  • Drive architecture selection and system design for robotic mission systems, including hardware, compute, storage, network, and service orchestration concerns.
  • Contribute to the roadmap for mission system integration into Maneuver Dominance platforms, including software inputs.
  • Lead teams developing software that runs on- and off-platform across multiple technologies.
  • Define and implement development processes for initial delivery and iteration of mission software, including full lifecycle testing.
  • Create and validate test and simulation fixtures that support software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
  • Support vehicle manufacturing and deployment efforts.
  • Lead and mentor multidisciplinary engineering teams, including Senior Software Engineers, and travel up to 25% to work with end users or other teams.

Requirements

  • Senior-level experience delivering a military mission system.
  • Experience developing and sustaining distributed software platform and application architectures under dynamic network topologies.
  • Experience with modeling and simulation.
  • Experience with Python and MATLAB.
  • Experience developing high-assurance, safety-critical software.
  • Experience building comprehensive unit tests and regression tests.
  • Deep understanding of autonomous weapons systems, including payload capabilities and commercial and military mission sets.
  • Experience across the product delivery lifecycle, including manufacturing, system acceptance, deployment, and sustainment.
  • Familiarity with vehicle management systems.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering concepts.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience (preferred).
  • Experience in a leadership role within a high-performing technology organization (preferred).
  • Systems and/or application programming skills, including algorithms, data structures, concurrency, and optimization (preferred).
  • Experience troubleshooting and analyzing remotely deployed software systems (preferred).
  • Ability to work across the software stack through design, implementation, operation, and sustainment (preferred).
  • Ability to act as technical owner for an entire mission system, including stakeholder engagement, requirements definition, roadmap management, team coordination, and evolution (preferred).
  • Ability to learn quickly while mentoring senior team members and building team cohesion (preferred).
  • 8+ years of operational experience with autonomous Maneuver Dominance systems (preferred).
