Description

  • Work directly with engineers to produce printed circuit board designs supporting Anduril’s products.
  • Apply modern design standards and guidelines to create high-reliability, highly manufacturable assemblies.
  • Implement high-speed digital, precision analog, RF, and high-power circuit designs.
  • Lead internal efforts to establish design for manufacturing (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), and quality standards for fabrication and assembly outputs.
  • Develop and refine team processes for PCB design, part creation, and library/database standards.
  • Coordinate external PCB design resources during design surges.
  • Collaborate with fab houses and assembly houses to ensure boards are built to print and to BOM.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple concurrent projects and customers.
  • Route and support complex high-speed mixed-signal PCB layouts with attention to signal integrity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a similar field and 5+ years of professional experience in PCB design, or 10+ years of professional experience in PCB design.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and apply appropriate best practices for each design.
  • Expertise in applying relevant IPC standards; CID or CID+ certification.
  • Expertise in PCB fabrication processes, limitations, design rules, and best practices.
  • Experience using Altium Designer CAD tools; Allegro is a plus.
  • Experience developing component libraries and managing libraries.
  • Excellent communication skills with multiple fab houses and assembly houses.
  • Experience with a variety of board types, including high-density and high-layer-count designs (greater than 16 layers), power electronics, flex circuits, and RF circuits.
  • Experience with HDI and thicker boards greater than 1.6mm.
  • Experience with high-speed digital interfaces and controlled impedance routing for USB, PCIe, Ethernet, SERDES, and DDR memory.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
  • Familiarity with RF board design is preferred.
  • Experience with high-pin-count packages and FPGA fanout is preferred.
  • Familiarity with basic signal integrity and power integrity rules is preferred.
