Description

  • Build and configure OT hardware such as industrial PCs, control stations, and factory equipment.
  • Flash operating system images and software packages onto devices following standard procedures.
  • Test hardware before deployment to confirm proper functionality.
  • Deploy configured hardware to factory locations across campus sites.
  • Install software, drivers, and applications on factory systems and verify they meet requirements.
  • Provide first-line support for hardware issues, troubleshooting, equipment swaps, and reimaging.
  • Handle incoming tickets for deployments, replacements, and basic repairs, and escalate complex issues as needed.
  • Track hardware inventory, spare parts, and equipment in asset management systems.
  • Receive, inspect, organize, and coordinate incoming hardware shipments and equipment returns.
  • Document deployment activities, issues, and checklists in ticketing and procedure systems.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in IT support, hardware deployment, desktop support, or a related technical role.
  • Ability to work second shift, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM.
  • Experience building computers, installing operating systems, or working with hardware.
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware and software installation.
  • Comfort with assembling computer hardware and performing operating system imaging.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills for hardware and software issues.
  • Ability to follow technical instructions, procedures, and standard operating procedures accurately.
  • Basic computer skills, including use of ticketing systems and documentation tools.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate's degree or technical certification is a plus but not required.
  • CompTIA A+ or similar certification is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs and perform hands-on work.
  • Comfortable working in factory or industrial environments.
  • Flexibility to occasionally work non-standard hours for deployments.
