Description

  • Generate, review, and edit user-focused technical documentation with Engineering and Operations.
  • Research Anduril products and scope Tech Data deliverables for Programs of Record with DoD customers.
  • Write Data Modules in S1000D XML using Rapid Author.
  • Evaluate, prioritize, and track documentation work to keep programs on schedule.
  • Identify documentation risks, fill gaps, and use stakeholder input to support decisions.
  • Communicate status and manage expectations around documentation timelines, risks, and mitigations.
  • Allocate resources and coordinate stakeholders to ensure deliverables are accurate, on time, and in the right format.
  • Build documentation processes and training that enable others to contribute content.
  • Refine the product maturity framework so documentation supports productization of new systems.
  • Partner across product, engineering, account, and operations teams throughout the product lifecycle.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience producing XML-based technical documentation, preferably in a DoD environment.
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering documentation.
  • Experience building structured content in XML using a tool such as Xmetal.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills focused on technical topics.
  • Ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong project-management skills.
  • Passion for high-quality documentation and user experience.
  • Must be eligible for a U.S. Secret clearance or higher.
  • Military experience or exposure, especially with technical documentation standards such as S1000D or MIL-STD-40051, preferred.
  • Previous experience creating technical documentation for Naval products, preferred.
  • Experience documenting software UIs in an Agile environment, preferred.
