Description

  • Own the intake, evaluation, debug, escalation, communication, and tracking of manufacturing support incidents from internal stakeholders.
  • Serve as the bridge between production operations and digital manufacturing systems such as PLM, ERP, and MES.
  • Monitor and triage software problems across multiple manufacturing platforms.
  • Perform root cause analysis by observing manufacturing processes and identifying disconnects between production needs and system behavior.
  • Evaluate incident urgency, impact, and scope based on manufacturing constraints and production schedules.
  • Escalate issues to engineering support and provide operational context to software development teams.
  • Work directly with manufacturing engineers and technicians and visit the production floor to understand operational context.
  • Collaborate with software development teams, enterprise solution architects, and manufacturing subject matter experts to resolve issues.
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures for new feature workflows and lead training for feature rollouts.
  • Develop workarounds and best practices, and proactively identify unreported problems and process improvements.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in technical support, deployment, or system maintenance roles.
  • Hands-on debugging experience with integrated enterprise systems including MES, ERP, and PLM.
  • Ability to multitask competing support demands in a fast-paced environment.
  • Functional understanding of basic manufacturing concepts, processes, terminology, data objects, and how they relate to software tools.
  • History of collaborative engagement with software engineers.
  • Experience working with manufacturing engineers and technicians, or supporting production-floor operations, is strongly relevant.
  • Ability to assess incident severity, business impact, and operational constraints in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience creating SOPs, training users on new workflows, or supporting feature rollouts is preferred.
