Description

  • Triage and provide frontline support for requests to the legal department.
  • Prepare and maintain records and documentation, including contracts, agreements, and engagement letters.
  • Review, process, and approve outside counsel invoices for accuracy, billing compliance, and budget alignment.
  • Draft, review, and redline standard contracts such as NDAs, SaaS licenses, vendor contracts, and engagement letters.
  • Support lawyers with billing, invoicing, data requests, research, organizational filing, and general project support.
  • Coordinate electronic signatures and manage the Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tool and contract records.
  • Support legal technology execution, including CLM, invoicing, matter management, and AI tools.
  • Work cross-functionally with Employment, Supply Chain, Compliance, and other departments.
  • Facilitate and assist with projects of varying size and complexity.
  • Develop lightweight workflows to keep the company organized and efficient.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience with or willingness to learn productivity tools such as Airtable, Slack, DocuSign, and Jira.
  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn contract or matter management systems.
  • Ability to build strong relationships within the team and across functions.
  • Experience supporting small and large-scale projects.
  • Solutions-oriented mindset with interest in streamlining processes and creating efficiencies.
  • Self-starter who can identify areas where they can assist.
  • Willingness to wear multiple hats, adapt to shifting priorities, and work on projects of all types.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Positive team-player attitude, good judgment, and eagerness to help others.
  • Interest in national security and changing the landscape of defense contracting (preferred).
  • Startup, defense, or in-house experience at a high-growth company strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with notarizations (preferred).
  • At least 1 year of experience at a nationally recognized law firm or in-house strongly preferred.
