Description

  • Coordinate daily team activities, schedules, and workflows for quality inspectors.
  • Mentor inspectors on work procedures, work-order clocking, and performance and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with Shipping, Receiving, Production, Quality Engineering, and Planning to resolve bottlenecks and support business needs.
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas and drive 5S and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Implement training programs to build a skilled, cross-functional inspector workforce.
  • Perform and oversee in-process, final, and First Article Inspections using metrology tools, drawings, and blueprints.
  • Troubleshoot challenging production issues and determine the most constructive path forward using quality principles and technical knowledge.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years of experience in an aerospace, defense, military, or high-reliability hardware testing environment.
  • U.S. Person status is required to access controlled data.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-standard aerospace or defense environments (preferred).
  • Hands-on inspection experience with structural, avionics, or propulsion manufacturing (preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring, or guiding teams in civilian manufacturing or military aviation/maintenance environments (preferred).
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications using ASME Y14.5 GD&T (preferred).
  • Experience using precision hand tools and CMM equipment (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of AS9100/ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems (preferred).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word, with the ability to multitask between production checks and formal FAIs (preferred).
