Description

  • Lead and mentor technicians across structural fabrication, mechanical integration, composites fabrication, and avionics build, integration, and testing.
  • Supervise and participate in airframe construction work including riveting, mechanical fasteners, and nut plate installation.
  • Oversee mechanical assembly of complex electro-mechanical systems, wire harnesses, test racks, junction boxes, and fabricated components.
  • Coordinate and perform validation and testing of electronic components using diagnostic and test equipment.
  • Review wiring diagrams and assembly instructions to ensure accurate build and integration.
  • Manage daily workflow, delegate work orders, and adjust priorities to meet production deadlines.
  • Lead daily standups and communicate status, issues, and process improvements across technicians, engineering, and production teams.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues found during functional checkouts and testing.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct FOD audits at the start and end of each shift.

Requirements

  • Broad experience with aircraft, automotive, or similar fabrication, assembly, and operations, including structural and electronic systems.
  • Experience with validation, testing, and mechanical assembly of complex electro-mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, light power tools, and standard computer applications such as web browsers and word processing software.
  • Working knowledge of electrical components and ability to read wiring diagrams.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to lead a team while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills for working effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Prior hands-on experience building kits, models, or similar product lines is preferred.
  • Experience programming integrated digital systems by loading firmware is preferred.
  • Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license or equivalent training is preferred.
  • Forklift certification is preferred.
  • Experience in piece-part fabrication such as sheet metal work, waterjet, press brake, and subtractive manufacturing such as machining is preferred.
