Description

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive event security strategy for all company events.
  • Conduct threat, vulnerability, and risk assessments and create security protocols and emergency response plans.
  • Collaborate with Counterintelligence and Threat Intelligence teams to identify event-related risks.
  • Serve as the primary security liaison to the Events Team and coordinate with Executive Protection and regional Physical Security teams.
  • Lead on-site security operations, including access control, credentialing, and pre-event security briefings.
  • Ensure secure handling of sensitive equipment and information, including CUI.
  • Source, vet, and manage third-party security vendors and related contracts.
  • Ensure event operations comply with ITAR, EAR, and other government regulations.
  • Conduct after-action reviews and prepare post-event reports to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Security Management or Criminal Justice, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in security management.
  • Background in corporate security, federal law enforcement, or military roles such as Special Operations, Police, or Intelligence.
  • Demonstrated experience planning and leading security for high-risk, high-visibility events.
  • Strong understanding of event security principles, risk assessment, and crisis management.
  • Familiarity with executive protection protocols.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. government regulations, including ITAR and procedures for protecting CUI.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 30%–60% domestically and internationally.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.
  • Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance preferred.
  • Professional certification such as CPP or PSP preferred.
  • Experience in a fast-paced startup environment preferred.
  • Experience in government contracting or the defense industry preferred.
  • Proven cross-functional experience with legal, events, and communications teams preferred.
  • Proficiency in a second language preferred.
