Description

  • Partner with developers and cross-functional teams to develop customizations that improve engineering workflows.
  • Optimize engineering tools and processes so they do not limit the speed of design work.
  • Create training content and support adoption through practical, user-friendly instruction.
  • Gather user feedback, test solutions hands-on, and iterate recommendations based on real-world results.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to deployment, configuration, and ongoing support.
  • Understand how data moves through downstream systems and optimize data flow.
  • Identify overlapping capabilities and improve standardization across the global organization.
  • Work with engineers across cross-functional teams to identify and complete business-critical projects.
  • Apply deep experimentation and hands-on testing to recommend effective solutions.
  • Support the engineering organization by helping users become more productive with design tools.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a design engineering role building products, ideally in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent education/work experience.
  • Deep expertise in at least one engineering discipline and its associated tool stack, such as CAD, CAE, PLM, or discipline-specific applications.
  • Strong understanding of engineering workflows from concept through production.
  • Hands-on experience using engineering design tools and the ability to quickly learn new platforms.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues and find practical solutions.
  • Experience with a wide array of engineering design tools across multiple disciplines is preferred.
  • Training, instructional design, or technical education experience is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of scripting, automation, or tool customization is preferred.
  • Understanding of data flow between engineering systems such as CAD, PLM, ERP, and MES is preferred.
  • Experience in startup, defense, aerospace, or high-growth manufacturing environments is preferred.
  • Familiarity with PLM systems such as Teamcenter or Windchill and their integration with design tools is preferred.
  • Background supporting cross-functional engineering teams in complex product development is preferred.
  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile is preferred.
  • Must be a U.S. Person for export control purposes.
