Description

  • Design, develop, and mature high-density energy storage systems through internal engineering projects.
  • Execute against the energy technology roadmap by advancing current systems through capability development, validation, and optimization.
  • Support certification efforts for energy systems, including UN38.3 and NAVSEA 9310-related tasks.
  • Collaborate with internal multi-disciplinary teams and external vendors to integrate energy systems into Anduril Maritime products.
  • Identify energy demands, develop detailed technical specifications, and ensure systems meet endurance and safety requirements.
  • Conduct testing, analysis, and validation of energy systems and document findings to support shipping and use certifications.
  • Communicate development status, technical findings, and issues to internal stakeholders, lead engineers, and external partners as needed.
  • Evaluate new energy technologies and industry trends, and propose innovative solutions to improve product capabilities.
  • Provide technical inputs for proposals, engineering execution plans, customer deliverables, and requests for information.
  • Perform mission- and system-level trade studies and participate in root cause corrective action activities for energy and power systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Systems Engineering.
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience in power system design and development.
  • Experience designing, developing, testing, and supporting delivery of high-density energy storage systems in complex, harsh environments.
  • Experience contributing to battery safety plans.
  • Deep technical fundamentals in energy storage systems, electronics design, and/or product development.
  • Experience designing high-reliability, mission-critical power systems.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. security clearance.
  • Proven ability to translate complex system requirements into executable technical tasks and deliver against them (preferred).
  • Strong ability to work across multiple engineering disciplines and self-assess against key performance parameters (preferred).
  • Experience supporting battery certification efforts, including UN38.3 and NAVSEA 9310 (preferred).
  • Experience with subsea electro-mechanical design (preferred).
  • Experience contributing to electro-mechanical product development, ideally energy systems (preferred).
